Dingbat Wizard is my lo-fi music project built around odd songs, questionable ideas, and a general disregard for doing things the "right" way.
The songs wander between punk, garage rock, folk, bedroom pop, experimental music and whatever else happens to manifest itself in the moment. Some of it is funny. Some of it isn't. Most of it is probably a little strange.
Dingbat Wizard grew out of The Boatswains, a previous project with a similar disregard for taking things too seriously. This carries that same general spirit, with fewer rules and much more questionable judgement.
Everything is made at home with modest equipment and an unreasonable amount of time spent wondering whether something sounds good or not. Eventually, I have to just stop messing with it and consider it finished so I can move on to the next musical adventure.
If you like songs that are a little crooked, a little weird, and not particularly interested in conforming to rules, you're probably in the right place.
